Business Furniture + Company
Noblesville, IN
2025
Concept
KNIT
The interior design for Business Furniture + Co embodies the company’s strong sense of community and collaboration. The space will reflect the close-knit relationships that define BFC’s culture through a warm, inviting, and connected environment. Open layouts will encourage interaction and teamwork, while flexible meeting zones and shared work areas will represent the company’s commitment to inclusivity and innovation. Natural materials such as wood and stone will bring warmth and authenticity, complemented by soft textiles and layered lighting that create comfort and approachability. Custom furniture pieces and locally inspired finishes will highlight BFC’s identity as a company that values craftsmanship, people, and purpose. Together, these elements will create a space that not only supports productivity but also celebrates the unity and collaborative spirit that make BFC unique.

Proposed Floorplan
Throughout the space, use of darker wood LVT flooring can be seen on the floorplan along with darker and lighter colored carpet tiles. The LVT acts as a guide throughout the space for quicker wayfinding and more common areas that are used by employees. The dark colored carpet tiles have a minimal design on them to create mind clarity and focus. The carpet tiles are also utilized in less traffic flow areas where employees utilize the most and provide comfortability. The lighter carpet tiles are used in areas of least travel such as executive offices and classrooms. These spaces are meant for quiet interaction and tranquility.

Ceiling Plan

This ceiling plan is meant to encapsulate as much light as possible. Breaking out of the typical warehouse feel can be difficult, so we worked to bring ceilings down to reduce echoing and loud noises acoustically and to make employees feel more comfortable in with these tall 36 feet high ceilings. Use of acoustical tile ceilings and acoustical wood paneling on walls and ceilings reduce noise and provide visual appeal.
